A Southern Institution...

Today David embarked on a new phase of his life....Mothers Day Out!  I had never heard of this before moving to Alabama 10 years ago, but I think I'm in love with it! David goes 2 days a week to the Methodist chruch near our home and spends a few hours with other 2-year-olds and 2 awesome teachers.  I think it's sort of funny that it's called 'Mothers Day Out'...it conjures up images of pedicures, shopping at the mall and meeting friends to 'do lunch'.  For me it will mean racing to the gym for a quick workout and then spending the rest of the morning helping at the elementary school (at least that was today's plan...sometime I might pamper myself with a trip to Costco kid-free).  So there won't be any spa visits for my 'days out', but a little break from Hurricane David will be nice...and I'm guessing he might not mind the break from Crazy Mom either! It's a Win-Win!!
David LOVES his Lightning McQueen lunchbox.
His teacher told me he carried around the whole morning!

Here's Sam--Sportin' the plaid of the WEBELOS!!!

David looks like such a big school boy. I can't believe it. And Sam looks like the cover of the cub scout book. My boys would be jealous of his hat--I won't show them.

Gotta love MDO. I had southern girl relocate out here looking for a good one. They just don't make them like they did in good old B-ham. Costco kid-free? Makes my heart flutter. Sounds lovely:)
