Russ went to the SEC Championships in Atlanta today. He wore an Alabama shirt and hat and cheered for Alabama--afterall, we do live here! There are no pictures here of Russ in his Bama wear because if Utah and Alabama end up playing each other in the Sugar Bowl, Russ doesn't want any evidence that he ever said "Roll Tide!" He wouldn't even let me take a picture...c'mon-It's memories!
Tonight, we received a phone call from one of Gracie's friends who is a big Alabama fan (her brother is a freshman there) and she was quite sad that Alabama might be playing Utah. I told her that I thought we could all still be friends even if we played each other and she said, "I know, but I'm just worried that Alabama is going to beat the crap out of Utah". It was so funny, because I think she was truly worried about Gracie's feelings.
For the rest of y'all BAMA fans out there (I know there are at least 1 or 2 who read this blog on occasion)...we don't know if we get to play you or not, but IF we do, we'll be installing a state of the art alarm system on our house and possibly hiring a body guard or two (our friend Chris Foster comes from a long line of 'Temple Guards') so don't try ANYTHING!!!
And we plan to remain your friends even if you "beat the crap out of us"....OR VICE VERSA!!!!!

OK - because Hall totally lost the game when the Cougs played the Utes (Jeff is still crying about it), we have to pull for the U this round....Although, we're telling our Ute friends that Bama's going to win - heehee - just to get a rise out of 'em :)
